I’m so excited about the innovative new Book Marketing Workshop launching March 14th. Many authors have shared their enthusiasm and appreciation for the new course.

I’m starting to send the bonus materials to the authors who registered, learn about their books and book marketing activities, and set up time to chat with them one-on-one about their books and book marketing goals.

Several authors have asked me questions about the workshop. I thought, if they have questions it’s likely other authors do to. So I’m answering the questions authors are asking here — to share them with everyone.

Q. Where is the Book Marketing Workshop taking place?

A. The workshop is taking place online — so you can participate from the comfort of your home.

  • The lessons will be delivered to you via email.
    You’ll access the private book marketing workshop group on Facebook.
    And you and I will have our one-on-one chat about your book and marketing goals online.

Q. I’m swamped. What is the time commitment?

A. I understand being swamped — that is my normal state of being.

This course is designed with the understanding that authors today are juggling multiple projects, including writing their books. In particular, I’ve streamlined the process of book marketing, removing the marketing activities that are a waste of time, to give more authors more time to write.

I will guide authors on how to best execute all of the vital book marketing steps in ways that deliver the highest return on the time they spend.

The heart of the workshop includes weekly lessons with study materials, worksheets, etc. You’ll also receive daily to-dos, so you can pace yourself.

The time you spend is entirely up to you. I would say anywhere from 2 to 10 hours a week is a good guesstimate for the typical writer.

Q. Is the workshop for fiction or non-fiction books?

A. While there can be some differences in marketing fiction and non-fiction, today there are also many fundamental techniques that work for both – thanks primarily to blogging and social media.

The course I teach provides a book marketing framework that works for all genres, because there are many essentials of book marketing that every author needs to have in place today to maximize book sales over the long term.

When I studied the marketplace, I found that today’s bestselling authors are all using similar success principles, no matter where they live, who their audience is, or which genre they write in.

We’ll be tapping into those universal success principles in the Book Marketing Workshop.

Q. How does the workshop compare to services offered by book publicists?

A. The Book Marketing Workshop covers almost all of the services provided by book publicists — and other book marketing service providers.

This is important because today it’s not good enough to merely have someone do this for you, because (1) the costs can become exorbitant, and (2) no one knows your book better than you do. By combining your knowledge of your book with a solid book marketing education, your chances of success are much greater.

My approach is to educate authors so that you learn how to do the important marketing steps yourself, as book marketing is not a short-term activity: You have to keep doing it in the long-term to keep making sales.

However, your book marketing will end the day your contract runs out with book marketing service providers.

Q. What is the workshop fee?

You have two payment options for the 12-week course, which includes 4 bonus reports, a private chat about your book with me (your coach), and a private Facebook community, along with weekly and daily lessons:

  1. 3 monthly payments of $99
  2. or save $50 with a 1-time fee of $247

This fee is way lower than most courses, which deliver less value. What’s more, the Book Marketing Workshop is packed with valuable marketing insights that will help you market and sell your books for life.

Q. I love the sound of your course, but can’t swing the fee right now. Are there discounts?

The coaching workshop is currently priced at the lowest price I can afford, as I will be spending one-on-one time with the authors.

What’s more, this course is priced much lower than any other book marketing course I could find in the marketplace. Many charge a lot more — and deliver a lot less.

However, I do offer a second course for authors — and it’s only $99. It’s a self-guided 30-day course. It includes similar information, but no personal coaching and private online community where authors can learn from each other.
